RESA Rising Star: Behind My Award-Winning Home Staging Project in the GTA
I’m so excited to share that I’ve been named the RESA Rising Star Occupied Staging Project of the Year (Canada) by the Real Estate Staging Association!
This recognition means so much, not just because it’s an award, but because the project behind it truly reflects what Nestiny Design is all about: working with what you already have, seeing the potential in every space, and creating beauty with intention.
The Project: A 10-Room Occupied Family Home
This particular home was a lived-in family space - warm, full of life, and very traditional in style. The goal wasn’t to gut and refurnish it. Instead, I focused on refining layouts, softening visual weight, and modernizing the feel without replacing major furniture pieces.
One of my favorite transformations was in the dining room, which originally had more traditional artwork and tall, classic chairs. I swapped those out for modern, stylish chairs with soft fabric and brushed bronze metal accents that beautifully complemented the rug and wall color. The change brought an instant sense of sophistication and balance to the space, making it one of the most impactful rooms in the house.

My Approach to Occupied Staging
Occupied staging is a special kind of challenge — and one I love. It’s about working with the home and the homeowners. I always aim to enhance what’s already there while making the space feel polished, open, and market-ready.
This home showed incredible value through its presentation alone — and that’s the power of thoughtful, purposeful staging.
Why This Matters
For me, this award is more than a title, it’s a celebration of what’s possible when we blend creativity, practicality, and care.
At Nestiny Design, I don’t believe staging has to mean starting from scratch or breaking the budget. It’s about seeing the story within a space and telling it beautifully, with intention.
If you're planning to list a home and want to make sure it shows its absolute best - without unnecessary stress or expense - I'd love to help.
